Director, Business Development – Southern Central Region

General overview

The Director of Business Development is a proven sales executive with a solid track record in sales leadership within the wireless industry who has responsibility for the continued development of ExteNet’s business in the South Central Region of the United States. The Director of Business Development is responsible for working with Wireless Service Providers to proactively identify and develop new business opportunities where ExteNet’s Distributed (DAS) and Indoor iDuct networks can be implemented to address capacity and/or coverage challenged areas. The Director of Business Development will coordinate with ExteNet implementation, operations and regulatory personnel to ensure that ExteNet resources are aligned to meet customer and business objectives.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Have the appropriate interpersonal and communication skills to persuade prospective clients to accept our products.
  • Possess the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing with top executives.
  • Possess experience with evaluating, pricing, designing, deploying and operating networks (passive and active distribution).
  • Understand differentiators between CDMA, WCDMA, GSM, EDGE, GPRS, TDMA, iDEN, WiFi, WiMax and other protocols.
  • Be able to differentiate between the ExteNet solution and other competing offerings, highlighting the distinguishing features of both.
  • Become conversant with new technology and software quickly.
  • Present willingness to perform tasks beyond standard goals and objectives.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines while also highlighting risks and implementing contingency plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to facilitate continued growth of ExteNet’s business in the South Central region.
  • Communicate ExteNet’s Open Network service offering to WSP personnel at all levels.
  • Identify opportunities to implement Distributed outdoor and indoor networks to help Wireless Service Providers address coverage and/or capacity challenged areas.
  • Provide direction to ExteNet engineering, implementation, operations and regulatory personnel to ensure that resources are properly aligned to meet customer and business objectives.
  • Prepare and submit proposals, license agreements and other formal responses to the WSPs.

Qualifications

  • At least five years’ experience in the wireless industry with a demonstrated record of success.
  • Prefer an individual who has extensive experience working with Wireless Service Providers in the South Central region of the United States.
  • Experience working with Wireless Service Providers selling indoor DAS systems is desirable.
  • An understanding of wireless technologies from both an RF and implementation perspective is.
  • Travel is expected to be about 50%
  • Region is central United States. Key states are Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Alabama, Tennessee.
