Director of Marketing
General overview
The ExteNet Systems Director of Marketing is responsible for working with senior management to help develop and implement the marketing strategy for the company. Responsibilities will include hands-on production of materials, management of internal and outside resources including graphics design, advertising and public relations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an emerging growth/technology company. Wireless telecommunications industry experience is preferable.

Detailed Responsibilities
- Development, implementation and management of the overall marketing program for the company’s commercial/private sector and public/governmental business.
- Development and implementation of advertising strategy and plan.
- Management of Public Relations activities and agencies.
- Coordination and management of trade show activities and exhibition materials.
- Development and maintenance of company website, print, boilerplate and presentation materials.
- Supporting sales for targeted customer marketing activities.
- Management of graphics design and outside advertising support.
- Initial drafting and writing of marketing content including press releases, profiles, presentations and materials related to marketing activities and support.
- Research and planning for targeted market segments.
- Supporting sales and coordinating resources for RFP responses.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as primary manager of marketing activity for the company.
- Assists senior management in development of the annual marketing plan, strategies and tactics.
- Manages the marketing activities and budget.
- Manages resources necessary to help the company achieve business goals.
- Provides leadership and/or supports the design, development and implementation of new service offerings for the company.
- Oversees and provides direction for market and competitor analysis.
- Provides leadership, direction and management of the market research function.
- Creates a reporting function to track, measure and analyze performance of marketing activities.
- Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated with company and outside agencies.
- Provides marketing skills and management expertise ensure that applied resource carries out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics.
- Strong writing skills and is capable of producing materials as well as management of others who may be responsible for assigned activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in business, marketing or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years experience and a demonstrated track record of marketing knowledge and accomplishment.
- Preferably 5 years experience in the wireless telecommunications industry.
- Experience in public relations, media and electronic print.
- Knowledge of electronic/web-based marketing programs and tools.
- Ability to produce content and manage internal and external marketing resources.
- Solid understanding of public relations activities.
- Experience working in an emerging growth company.
- Strong verbal and writing skills.
