Director Indoor Implementation
General overview
The ExteNet Systems Director of Network Engineering and Implementation plays a key role in managing a large variety of internal and external resources involved in the company’s Distributed Antenna System (DAS) deployments.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Responsible for all facets of internal personnel management, vendor alignment, selection management, oversight, dispute resolution and business processes associated with the network design and implementation of ExteNet DAS Networks throughout an assigned geography.
- Ensures the timely collection, verification, validation of project data is accurately completed, collated and regularly distributed to internal teams and customized for delivery to customers.
- Identify negative trends and forecasted schedule deviations identified through the project lifecycle, prepare mitigation and escalation plans and execute corrective measures as reasonable or appropriate to ensure the timely completion of all DAS deployments under their span of control.
- Facilitate the coordination by and between selected vendors, network A&E, engineering and construction contractors and internal resources (Sales, Sales Engineering, RF Engineering, RF Operations, Municipal Relations, Legal, Finance and Senior Management) to efficiently and effectively manage all network programs within the assigned geography.
- Coordinates and leads the production and delivery of all project related communications, meetings and presentations to Senior Management and operates as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for network implementation matters with ExteNet DAS customers on a local and regional level.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the design, costing, budgeting and program management and reporting of all DAS projects.
- Manages the creation, review, quality control and integrates project materials for customer meetings
- Prepares and facilitates remedial action plans and escalations by and between ExteNet and the building managers for all construction and electrical coordination issues.
- Provides support to internal groups including subject matter expertise and facilities the identification and allocation of resources and personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (technical degree preferred) or a combination of equivalent work experience and educational background.
- 7 years experience in project/program management.
- 7 years experience in the telecom (wireless/wire line) or construction industry.
- Proficient with MS Office Tools, GIS and CAD experience a plus.
- Design engineering or tactical planning responsibilities.
- Design and construction of Distributed Antenna System (DAS) networks or medium to large scale fiber deployments.
