RF Design Engineer

General overview

The RF Design Engineer will be assigned to a specified region and/or area and be responsible for coordinating and conducting all RF design related issues for projects and clients in the designated area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Sales with technical presentation, white papers, analysis and other relevant technical material prior to entering the Proposal Phase
  • During the Proposal Phase:
    • Review the Proposal Request Form.
    • Review and validate User Requirements.
    • Review ExteNet Systems Design Assumptions.
    • Review ExteNet Systems Design Methodology.
    • Review ExteNet Systems Deliverables.
    • Conduct RF Design.
    • Conduct GIS analysis (i.e. demographics) if required.
    • Coordinate CW tests as necessary.
  • During the Agreement Phase:
    • Review the Proposal and validate design.
    • Conduct or supervise modifications and/or redesigns based on Client feedback and/or changes in municipal or utility requirements.
  • During the Implementation Phase:
    • Coordinate CW testing of node candidates.
    • Review/evaluate progress and design changes/modification with client.
  • The RF Design Engineer will also:
    • Develop procedures and process applicable to the RF Engineering function either regionally or nationally.
    • Develop tools and other material for internal or external use.
    • Develop and facilitate internal training sessions.
    • Develop and facilitate customer training sessions.
    • Participate in trade shows, workshops and seminars that promote ExteNet Systems business and/or is important to the business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BSEE, preferably MScEE or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in the wireless industry.
  • WSP background is preferred.
