    ExteNet implemented an Open DAS Network to provide previously unavailable wireless voice and data services for the Village of Franklin and township of Bloomfield in Michigan. The company worked jointly with Wireless Service Providers as well as the Village of Franklin Council and Historic Committee and township officials in Bloomfield to gain citizen support for the implementation. Wireless Service Providers operating on the network are now able to offer high-quality service to an area that for years was left unserved.

    ExteNet becomes a mobile telecommunication franchisee in New York City. As a franchisee, the company has the non-exclusive right to install, operate and maintain fiber optic and associated equipment, including cellular and antenna equipment and facilities in New York City. ExteNet now has the ability to implement Open DAS Networks as well as Proprietary Networks in all five New York boroughs.

Company Management
Ross W. Manire, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer
Ross W. Manire brings more that 30 years of business management, finance and leadership experience to the company.

Prior to founding ExteNet, Manire was President, Enclosure Systems Division of Flextronics International, Ltd., a multi-billion dollar electronics manufacturing services company. The Enclosure Systems Division was responsible for the manufacture and integration of electronic packaging systems for the telecommunications and high technology industries. Manire came to Flextronics through the company’s acquisition of Chatham Technologies, Inc., where he was Chief Executive Officer.

Before joining Chatham, Mr. Manire was Senior Vice President of 3Com Corporation’s $1 billion Carrier Systems Division. Prior to his position with 3Com, he led the dramatic expansion of U.S. Robotics’ Network Systems Division, which he founded to capitalize on the growing demand for Internet access in the enterprise. Under Manire’s leadership, the division grew from its founding to $600 million in less than four years. Mr. Manire began his tenure at U.S. Robotics as Senior Vice President/Operations and Chief Financial Officer.

Manire was previously a partner at Ridge Capital, a leveraged buyout firm focusing on middle market acquisition opportunities. He began his career at Ernst & Young, where he was a Partner in its Entrepreneurial Services Group. Mr. Manire holds a B.A. from Davidson College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Terry Ray, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Terry Ray is a senior financial and operating executive with experience in the technology, graphics and food manufacturing industries.

Throughout his finance career, Ray has been involved in strategic development as well as mergers and acquisitions. He joined ExteNet from On-Cor Frozen Foods, Inc., where he was Vice President of Finance and Operations. Prior to that, Mr. Ray was President and CFO of Rittal Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of the Rittal Group, a privately-held electronics enclosure manufacturer based in Germany.

Prior to Rittal, Ray was CFO of the Enclosures Systems Division of Flextronics International, Ltd. He came to Flextronics through the company’s acquisition of Lightning Manufacturing Solutions, where he was Chief Administrative Officer and CFO.

Mr. Ray has also held senior executive, operational and financial positions in the printing and graphics industries. He holds B.A. and M.S. degrees from DePaul University.

Tormod Larsen, Vice President, Chief Technology Officer
Tormod Larsen is a senior RF Engineering specialist with extensive expertise in distributed antenna systems, including implementations for the Chicago Transit Authority, Microsoft Campus, Seattle Tacoma International Airport, Wynn Las Vegas and Mandalay Resorts Group.

Prior to joining ExteNet, Larsen was Vice President of Sales and Engineering for LGP Allgon Ltd., where he was responsible for building the Coverage Systems Division that deployed large multi-operator systems. During his career at Allgon, Larsen held several other executive and managerial positions including Director of Technology and Engineering for Allgon Telecom Ltd., and Regional Manager, Coverage Engineering for North America.

Before Allgon, Mr. Larsen served as Global Product Manager, Repeater and Confined Area Communication Systems for Siemens AG. While at Siemens, Mr. Larsen held other senior technical and engineering positions with specific focus on distributed antenna systems as well as wireless communication in confined environments.

Mr. Larsen holds an M.S.E.E. from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim.

Eric Lekacz, Executive Vice President, Business Development & Strategy
Eric Lekacz is a senior executive with more than 20 years of sales, marketing and management experience.

Prior to his position with the company, Lekacz was Vice President of Business Development, Europe for the Enclosure Systems Division of Flextronics International, Ltd., a multi-billion dollar electronics manufacturing services company. The Enclosure Systems Division was responsible for the manufacture and integration of electronic packaging systems for the telecommunications and high technology industries. Lekacz came to Flextronics through the company’s acquisition of Chatham Technologies, Inc., where he was the Senior Vice President of Business Development, Europe. In that position, he was responsible for growing Chatham’s European operations from $100 million to $350 million in four years.

Mr. Lekacz’s early career included executive marketing and management positions with Hitachi Data Systems and IBM. He holds B.S.M.E. and B.S.E.E. degrees from University of Arizona.

Vince Aragona, Director of Implementation & Operations
Vince Aragona brings nearly 25 years of experience in RF engineering management, technical operations, site and network development, construction and field operations to the ExteNet team.

Most recently, Mr. Aragona was Senior Director of Implementation for NextG Networks Inc., where he was responsible for the deployment of the company’s first commercial DAS application and the first municipal deployment of a DAS network in New York City. Prior to NextG Networks, he was Area Director of Network Operations and Construction for Metricom Inc., where he was responsible for the engineering, development, deployment and network operation of more than 20,000 microcells and 350 WAP sites that provided coverage for 130 municipalities.

Mr. Aragona’s early career includes a number of and technical and operational positions with Paging Network Inc. He began his electronics career with the United States Air Force, where his primary mission was in support of the Presidential Global Command and Control facility, providing reliable air-to-ground communications to Air Force One, Air Force Two and the Strategic Air Mission (SAM) fleet for the 2045th Communications Group, Andrews Air Force Base.

Jon Bayless
Jon Bayless currently serves as Partner for Sevin Rosen Funds. Prior to joining Sevin Rosen, Dr. Bayless served as chairman of both Landmark Graphics Corporation and CIENA Corporation, two public companies funded by SRF. He is currently serving on the boards of Xtera Communications, General Bandwidth, Chiaro Networks, and Covaro Networks.

David Hull
David Hull is currently Managing Director for Centennial Ventures. He has previously served in several senior executive management positions including Managing General Partner of Criterion Venture Partners, the venture arm of TransAmerica. Senior Vice President of Finance, Treasurer, and Director of General Leisure Corporation, a restaurant and hotel operating company, and Vice President of Texas Capital Corporation, a small business investment company. Mr. Hull received his M.B.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Texas, Austin.

Matt Newton
Matt Newton is currently a Partner with Columbia Capital. He joined the firm in 1996 and focuses on investments in the communications sector, specializing in wireless services and mobile media technologies. Mr. Netwon’s other board seats include Amp’d Mobile, Affinity Internet, MindSHIFT Technologies, Revol Wireless, Optasite, TriStar Investors, and WCS Wireless. He previously led or co-led Columbia’s investments in Adjoined (acquired by Kanbay International), NMP (acquired by AppNet / Commerce One), Pihana Pacific (acquired by Equinix) and WNP Communications (acquired by XO Communications). Prior to joining Columbia Capital, Mr. Newton worked in corporate finance for Dean Witter Reynolds, where he focused on public and private market financings for industrial manufacturing and services companies. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University.

David Schaller
Mr. Schaller is currently Venture Partner with CenterPoint Ventures. Prior to that, he was co-founder, Director and EVP-U.S. Operations for OraMetrix, Inc., a health care technology company focusing on the orthodontic market. He was also a member of the founding launch team for BizRate.com and has advised or consulted many other technology start-ups. Prior to his entrepreneurial experience, he was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, where he contributed to the development of strategies for Fortune 500 organizations in various industries, including telecommunications, health care and industrial automation software. David spent the early years of his career with The Dow Chemical Company. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an M.B.A. with Distinction from The Wharton Graduate School of Business, where he was also named a Palmer Scholar.
