15-Year Veteran of Sprint-Nextel To Support In-Building DAS Network Business
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois—March 10, 2008— John Hixon has joined ExteNet Systems, Inc. as director of in-building solutions. Hixon comes to the company from Sprint-Nextel Communications.
Hixon spent nearly 15 years at Sprint-Nextel, where he was most recently responsible for overall planning, network optimization, performance engineering and design activities associated with the Chicago market cluster. This market cluster ranks as one of the largest and most complex in the Unites States, encompassing more than 2,000 cell sites.
“John contributes a wealth of engineering, network management and leadership experience to this new post,” said Ross Manire, ExteNet Systems chairman and chief executive officer. “John consistently wins key advocates, and he thrives in an environment where total customer satisfaction is an organization’s primary goal. During Hixon’s employment with Sprint-Nextel, he also served as a senior RF engineering manager/in-building specialization, network operations manager and RF engineering system performance team leader for NASCAR/Chicago and Indianapolis Motor Speedway race events. While with Sprint-Nextel, Hixon was also an EMS and operations team leader on a wireless broadband deployment project with Flarion Technologies (now Qualcomm Flarion Technologies).
Hixon has deep expertise in designing and integrating in-building systems, distributed antenna systems (DAS), fiber nodes and micro cell sites. During his career, he has also been responsible for cradle-to-grave deployment of customized RF in-building solutions.
Hixon began his career with the United States Air Force, where he was a sergeant (E-4), avionics systems journeyman technician with top secret/SBI clearance. He is a graduate of Lewis University and received an A.A.S. in avionic systems technology from the University of Maryland.

Infrastructure, DAS Sales Veteran Comes on Board as ExteNet Systems Expands Presence in the Western States
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois—March 10, 2008—Phil Jachowski has joined ExteNet Systems, Inc. as vice president of business development, West Region. Jachowski comes to ExteNet Systems from Pacific Ventures, Inc., a manufacturers’ rep business he founded and successfully ran for nearly 10 years.
Both an engineer and a sales and marketing executive, Jachowski has a proven track record in the wireless industry. His company worked closely with Allgon (later LGP Allgon) and, most recently, Powerwave Technologies.
“We are pleased that Phil has joined our team to lead our business development efforts in the West, where our business is growing quickly,” said Ross Manire, ExteNet Systems chairman and chief executive officer. “Phil has been responsible for wireless infrastructure sales, with a special emphasis on in-building distributed antenna systems (DAS),” he said. “He has developed significant contract wins and relationships with convention centers, airports, casinos and hotels in high-growth Western states. Prior to forming Pacific Ventures, Jachowski worked as a manufacturers’ rep for Epic Marketing. He also served as director of operations for Diablo Communications and worked in sales and product management at Antenna Specialists. He began his career as an electrical engineer for FMC, where he worked on projects related to the Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
Jachowski, who is based in California, is a graduate of Santa Clara University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering.

JAY MACIEJEWSKI JOINS EXTENET SYSTEMS, INC. AS DIRECTOR OF RF ENGINEERING, EAST REGION
Former T-Mobile “Big Dig” Technical Lead to Support Growing East Coast Customer Base
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois—March 10, 2008— Jay (John) Maciejewski has joined ExteNet Systems, Inc. as director of RF engineering, East Region. Maciejewski comes to ExteNet Systems from T-Mobile USA, New England.
During Maciejewski’s five years with T-Mobile, he worked on all stages of network development from initial launch to mature network support and expansion, including as technical lead on Boston’s Central Artery Tunnel. With its 38 miles of highway, the “Big Dig,” is the largest underground construction project in the world.
“We are very happy that Jay has joined us as head of our RF engineering on the East Coast, a key region for us,” said Ross Manire, ExteNet Systems chairman and chief executive officer. “Jay has acquired significant technical expertise by designing and analyzing wireless networks using equipment from key manufacturers,” he said. “He also has developed expansion and capacity plans and managed thousands of cell sites and dozens of switch facilities in the New England market. As an RF expert, Jay is an outstanding choice to lead our engineering support in the East Region.”
Maciejewski is an expert in Distributed Antenna System (DAS) network architecture for both indoor and outdoor applications. His experience includes working as lead technical advisor on projects that provided wireless coverage in towns including Andover, Nantucket and Hull, subway systems and in-building coverage at convention centers and stadiums.
Prior to joining T-Mobile, Maciejewski was a senior radio frequency engineer for Nextel Communications. He studied electronics engineering at the New England Institute of Technology and business management at Bristol Community College. He is currently pursuing a degree in engineering organizational management at Ashford University.
Maciejewski has participated in numerous technological training sessions and certification programs and is proficient in numerous network operations and RF requirements.

EXTENET SYSTEMS, INC. TAPS VETERAN FINANCE EXECUTIVE JOHN SHARP AS VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE, CONTROLLER
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois—March 10, 2008—John Sharp has joined ExteNet Systems, Inc. as vice president of finance, controller. He brings more than two decades of finance, accounting, planning, and analysis expertise to the company.
“John brings impressive financial management experience to the table,” said Terry Ray, ExteNet Systems chief financial officer. “His expertise in the financial management of growth-oriented and technology companies is a great asset to ExteNet Systems as our market continues to expand.”
Most recently Sharp was senior director, finance for NEC Corporation’s display solutions division, where he was responsible for all finance and accounting functions for the company’s $700 million division. Prior to joining NEC, he held financial management positions with startups including Cambia Networks and Telenisus Corporation.
Sharp also served as controller, systems division for 3COM Corporation and its predecessor, U.S. Robotics Corporation. Sharp began his career as an auditor with Arthur Young and Company. He is a graduate of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Addition of Former T-Mobile USA Executive Supports Strategic Expansion
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois—February 4, 2008—Laura Altschul has joined ExteNet Systems, Inc. in the newly created post of vice president, strategic partnerships and network policy. Formerly the director of national external affairs/engineering for T-Mobile USA, Altschul is one of the industry’s leading experts in wireless site development and policy.

Altschul will be responsible for the company’s government and industry relations, developing strategic relationships with key industry players and directing policies on network issues and deployment. Her appointment represents a key development in ExteNet’s strategic initiative to position the company as the leading indoor and outdoor distributed antenna system (DAS) network provider.
Altschul’s tenure of more than a decade at T-Mobile included work as the general manager of real estate and land use, where she was the national strategic advisor for area directors, site acquisition and land use managers. During her employment at T-Mobile, she also served as director of technical operations & development, director, state and local government affairs and most recently, director of national external affairs/engineering.
Prior to joining T-Mobile, Altschul was the site development senior manager at Verizon Wireless. She began her career in the wireless industry as a team leader and project manager with a consulting firm, where she recruited and managed teams and client relationships to build network infrastructures for wireless carriers.
Altschul created and led the Wireless Access Coalition and Coverage Communications Campaign and has served on several industry committees, including the GSM Associations RAG Health Policies Work Group (North American Representative), PCIA’s State and Local Zoning Committee, CTIA Tower Siting Committee, the DAS Forum, and Wireless Womens Leadership Forum. She is a graduate of Michigan State University and received a master of science in organizational development from Pepperdine University. She also received a certificate in global enterprise management, organizations, environment and political economy from Oxford University.

Before joining ExteNet, Davis held positions at Flextronics International, where he began as vice president, emerging technologies and then became vice president, business development for strategic accounts. Before his employment with Flextronics, Davis was vice president of sales, automotive chemicals division at Pennzoil-Quaker State Company. He began his career with Snap Products, Inc., which was a leading manufacturer of automotive chemicals purchased by Pennzoil in 1997.
Davis has been a frequent executive panelist and guest lecturer at the C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston.

GEORGE VINYARD NAMED VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL COUNSEL OF EXTENET SYSTEMS
OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois—February 4, 2008—ExteNet Systems, Inc. today announced that it has employed George A. Vinyard as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Vinyard has served as ExteNet Systems’ primary outside legal counsel since 2004 while employed by Reed Smith LLP and the predecessor of that firm’s Chicago office, Sachnoff & Weaver, Ltd.
“We are thrilled that George has joined the company as a full-time employee,” said Ross Manire, ExteNet chairman and chief executive officer. “He brings us extensive legal skills and experience from more than 30 years as a business lawyer, including five years as general counsel of U.S. Robotics Corporation and associate general counsel of 3Com Corporation. His background includes public and private corporate finance, a wide range of business combinations and commercial transactions, as well as substantial experience in the areas of technology and intellectual property strategies, transactions and disputes.”
Vinyard will manage and oversee all aspects of ExteNet’s legal affairs, including state and federal regulatory matters.
Vinyard began his legal career in 1977 with the Chicago firm of Sachnoff, Schrager, Jones & Weaver, Ltd., which later became Sachnoff & Weaver and then in 2007, combined with Reed Smith LLP. From 1994 through 1997, he served as vice president and general counsel of U.S. Robotics. Following that company’s merger with 3Com in 1997, he became its associate general counsel and vice president for intellectual property. He returned to Sachnoff & Weaver in 1999 and the following year became head of the firm’s Intellectual Property, Technology and Internet practice, a position he held until 2005.
Vinyard serves as chairman of the board of the Center for Neighborhood Technology in Chicago, and is president of the Board of Trustees of Illinois Wesleyan University. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan and earned his B.A. from Illinois Wesleyan University.
