Regulatory

Every network that we build and operate is a well-coordinated installation meeting federal, state and local regulatory obligations. ExteNet Systems, Inc., has established a sound regulatory process that removes the barriers to the permitting process and enables the company to conform to a variety of laws and ordinances. We present minimal environmental impact while achieving compliance with the appropriate regulatory authorities. Our expertise with regulatory matters and the agencies involved allow us to efficiently meet all necessary requirements for our customers.

Because we use existing utility poles and conduit infrastructure to co-locate our equipment, we seek and have been granted regulatory approval and utility status, and have also published tariffs in a number of states. Where required, ExteNet receives a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) or other certificate of authority from the state regulatory commission that in principle certifies ExteNet as qualified and enabled to deploy Open DAS Networks. ExteNet has also negotiated a number of joint use agreements with major utility companies that allow us to economically and efficiently place our fiber and node networks on their infrastructure.

A current list of published tariffs and regulatory approvals follows. For information on agreements in progress, please email us at: regulatory@extenetsystems.com.
